If you are not more than forty years of age than your credit card company will think that you will get job again and will able to pay their debts in any point of time. So in that case they are more likely to file a lawsuit again you than an older person.

In that case a debt consolidation or debt settlement company may help you to work out your credit card debts with your credit card company. They are many well-known companies out there but you should check out whether the company is trust worthy or not before working with then.
